New Taipei City Gender Mainstreaming Implementation Plan
The 23rd Committee of the Executive Yuan Women's Rights Promotion Committee (now restructured into the Executive Yuan Gender Equality Council) passed the "Gender Mainstreaming Implementation Plan" (2006 to 2009). The pilot phase was implemented in 1996, and it has been expanded since 1997. The results report has been submitted each year. In order to be in line with international standards and with central governmental policy, city government has formulated plans for implementing gender mainstreaming in all levels of the New Taipei City Government (2016 to 2019), implemented six major tools for gender mainstreaming, and made the department to develop gender perspectives into policy making and resource allocation.

The New Taipei City Social Welfare Department has implemented and promoted the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), the concept of gender mainstreaming, the implementation framework for gender mainstreaming, the gender budget, gender impact assessment, gender statistics, gender analysis and other gender-related issues are handled for training. Each person is trained 24 hours a year, which can include other gender mainstreaming study hours.
