The 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games will be the first games contractually obliged to the "Climate Positive Commitment." The Southeast Queensland cities are forming alliances to avoid the legacies of huge debt and abandoned stadiums. Instead, they will enhance residents' lives by creating better transportation, water and waste management. It is estimated that 8.1 billion AUD in economic benefits will the Olympics bring to Queensland, among which 3.5 billion will be invested in social and environmental improvements.
