In May, National Geographic named Pinglin District in New Taipei City one of Taiwan's “Top Five Hidden Gems.” This picturesque mountain town, celebrated for its unique tea culture, rich ecology, and idyllic countryside, has gained international recognition.

To share Pinglin's beauty with the world, the New Taipei City Government Secretariat and the Pinglin District Office invited foreign diplomats based in Taiwan to experience its natural and cultural treasures firsthand. Diplomats and their families from Saint Lucia, Paraguay, Belize, Guatemala, the Netherlands, Austria, Vietnam, and Indonesia joined the journey—hand-picking tea leaves in organic gardens, discovering the art of tea-making, and exploring the Pinglin Tea Museum to gain deeper insight into a thousand-year tea heritage.
