To improve the quality of life of the citizens of New Taipei City and strengthen the environmental sanitation in the city, the government actively promotes the sewage pipe connection project and handles Bali, Wugu, Linkou, Banqiao, Yonghe, Xinzhuang, Zhonghe, Xindian, Xizhi, Tu Cheng, Taishan, Danshuei, Yingge, Ruifang sewage pipe connection project and water resource reused center.

Since 2010, sewage pipe users have taken over to increase the number of connectivity households by 60,000 to 70,000 per year. The number of sewage pipe connection users in the city has grown from 351,745 in 2010 to 981,906 in September 2019. The conection rate has increased from 25% in 2010 to 62.4% in September 2019. After building sewage treatment facilities, the total number of sewage treated households reached 1.4 million households, and the growth rate and the number of households taking over were the first place in the country.
