The "Intelligent Image Analysis and Retrieval Cloud System" provides cross-monitor platform video tape reading, video tape enrichment, license plate recognition, instant license plate recognition and automatic vehicle trajectory tracking. It greatly reduces the time for the police to watch the video and achieve the goal of  "saving police force and increasing crime detection rate”.
 

The Intelligence Integration Center uses the Intelligent Image Analysis and Retrieval Cloud System built by the information office of the New Taipei City Government Police Department to track the crime vehicles and retrieve the historical image of locomotive data, with the comparison of the vehicle numbers to interpret escape route of suspect. Police Department of New Taipei City began to import AI applications last year, including object identification, object grouping, and image clarity. By setting a specific object, it can compare the model to the similar color, and automatically identify within videotape in a short time. With the image AI recognition technology, the efficiency of image interpretation can be speed up.
 

Both technology case and big data are the developmental result of “building technology for the police” policy plan in the past eight years of New Taipei City. In particular, New Taipei City is the most populous county and city in Taiwan, with an average of 1 police officer serving 550 citizens. New Taipei City Government Police Department planned to establish the science and technology defense city plan in 2011, to build a police to solve the shortage of police and manpower. With this set of public security decision-making information service system, the New Taipei City Police Department has built a unique policing data warehouse in New Taipei City, which not only integrates the information of the New Taipei City District under the Ministry of the Interior and the Criminal Police Department, but also the New Taipei City Police Department. The data from all units, such as criminal case data, monitor image, 110 reporting system, traffic accident data, and data analysis such as data exploration technology to strengthen analysis. In the future, it will be combined with artificial intelligence application for verification. It will be also collaborated with Industrial Technology Research Institute. With the addition to the soft and hardware functions of this system, we will expand the wisdom and value-added function toward powerful technology back up for the frontline police.
