【SDG 17】New Taipei Attends UCLG World Congress in South Korea after Reopening of Borders, Becoming Only Taiwan City to Meet with Ex-Secretary-General of UN and South Korean President
From October 10 to 16, 2022, the New Taipei City Government attended the 7th United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) World Congress held at Daejeon City, South Korea. The summit lasted 5 days and was attended by more than 6,000 participants, 27 international organizations, and representatives from 80 cities. As the only attending municipal government from Taiwan, representatives of the New Taipei City Government gave speeches and promoted the administrative achievements of the municipal government during the summit.

The British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei (BCCT) held the 6th Better Business Awards on September 28. The Director-General of the New Taipei City Government Secretariat, Ms. Chingyu Yao, was invited to share how to connect with the cities worldwide in achieving the SDGs.
