To make New Taipei City a friendly and livable place where residents can enjoy life, the New Taipei City Government invests substantial funding each year in various municipal construction projects. To ensure the construction quality of major projects and eliminate inappropriate external interference, the City Government established the “Implementation Plan of the New Taipei City Major Construction Procurement Integrity Platform” in 2019 and established government procurement integrity platforms based on the characteristics of individual construction and development projects. As of July 2026, the “Integrity Platform for the Renovation of Xindian River’s Bitan Weir and Water Environment,” “Integrity Platform for New Taipei City Yonghe Xingsheng Area (Dachen Area) Renewal Units 1 and 4 Urban Regeneration Project,” and “Integrity Platform for the Turnkey Project of Construction of Wenzizun Youth Social Housing in Xinzhuang District, New Taipei City” had completed their phased tasks and been removed from monitoring; the 12 government procurement integrity platforms currently in operation are the “Integrity Platform for New Taipei Circular Line Land Development Project,” “Integrity Platform for the Xizhi Donghu MRT Construction Turnkey Project,” “Integrity Platform for Dan Bei Road Project,” “Integrity Platform for New Taipei City Yonghe District Yongping Elementary School Underground Parking Lot Project,” “Integrity Platform for the Construction Project of Parking Facilities and Youth Social Housing at Guanghua Section, Luzhou District and Sanchong Section, Sanchong District,” “Integrity Platform for the Xindian Shisizhang (Unit B) Zone Expropriation Construction Project,” “Integrity Platform for Banqiao Second Stadium BOT Project,” “Integrity Platform for the Turnkey Construction Project of the Data Center, Office Areas, and Related Facilities of the Second Administrative Building,” “Integrity Platform for the New Taipei City Banqiao Medical Park BOT + BTO Project,” “Integrity Platform for MRT Dingxi Station Government-led Urban Renewal Project (Area A), New Taipei City,” “Integrity Platform for the Yinxin Future City Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) Project,” and “Integrity Platform for the Keelung MRT Project.”
 
New Taipei City has established cross-sector communication channels through the major project procurement integrity platforms and invited the Agency Against Corruption, Ministry of Justice, the New Taipei District Prosecutors Office, the New Taipei City Field Division, and Transparency International Chinese Taipei to serve as platform members, thereby strengthening professional consultation and cross-sector collaboration. The establishment of horizontal communication channels facilitates information flow and incorporates expert opinions, enabling joint reviews of potential corruption risks at each stage of a construction or development project and helping create a high-quality public construction environment.
 
To eliminate inappropriate external interference and enhance risk management mechanisms, the integrity platforms operate through a collaborative model based on cross-sector communication between the public and private sectors. By organizing public announcement events, regularly convening liaison meetings, and upholding the spirit of information transparency and openness, the platforms enable citizens, contractors, experts and scholars, civic groups, and other stakeholders to supervise the implementation of major construction projects, thereby enhancing citizens’ trust in municipal construction, safeguarding the quality of public works, and facilitating sustainable development.
