Lucia Langer delivers a talk entitled "This is Slovakia."
The Ambassadors on Campus program organized by the Secretariat, New Taipei City Government invited Lucia Langer, Representative from Slovakia, to Jhangshu International Creative Technical High School (Jhangshu High School) on March 27th to give a talk entitled "This is Slovakia." Addressing nearly 300 teachers and students, Langer not only introduced Slovakia's culture, landscape, unique national features, and the current status of exchanges between Taiwan and Slovakia, but also provided an in-depth analysis of the country's key role in the global industrial chain. This broadened the international perspectives of students who are in the process of exploring future career paths. The rich and engaging content received great acclaim.
Through stunning images and vivid storytelling, Langer presented a comprehensive view of Slovakia's magnificent natural landscape and diverse cultural characteristics. While promoting cultural exchange, she also focused on the country's advantageous industries and economic development. She further explained the cooperative achievements between Taiwan and Slovakia in areas such as industrial technology, cutting-edge technology, and academic research. For students facing choices of further education and career paths, Langer also noted a number of scholarship programs and diverse opportunities for study and travel abroad, encouraging young people to cultivate global competitiveness as early as possible and expand their professional aspirations to the international stage.

Hao-Chi Lin, Principal of Jhangshu High School, said that as the first experimental technical high school in Taiwan, the school has always attached great importance to international exchange and practical innovation. It is committed to fostering a "dream testing ground" that allows students to partake in trial and error, making language students' ticket to the world, thereby cultivating "T-shaped talent" equipped with both professional depth and breadth of vision. Lin expressed special thanks to the Secretariat for its assistance in facilitating this highly educational event. Langer's sharing enabled students to transcend geographical limitations and directly connect with European industries and international scholarship resources. This bears great significance for promoting "practice-oriented" learning that combines professional skills with an international perspective.

More than 10 ambassador talks are planned for this semester, and the next session will be a talk by Christian Helbig, Director of Austrian Office Taipei, at Lujiang Junior High School in Luzhou District.
